Where to get used slicks / race tires?

Please suggest where I could find some half worn out 15" slicks or R1 compound radials. The local autocrossers told me to go to Portland Int'l Raceway on an SCCA event day and hang around after the racers are done, because they will be glad if I haul off their old tires.

My skill level on the course is so sucky that I don't want real sticky (new) race rubber until I'm a few seconds away from the top times.

Thanx in advance rotary racers.

15 inch is hard to find a good use one. because most of racer use this size will use it until it is bad!!!!!. The easy size is like Porsche size or Corvete size because most of them are rich and use less heat cycle on their tires

Get on the local club-race email lists and ask those guys. I found some good used Kumho 205/50/15s for a great price once or twice. My guy races a 96ish Civic. not sure what class.
Come to think of it... I need some new tires...

THanx guys, who knows what I'll find at our local club. There should be a few people with 15" tires. They come up on ebay sometimes, and there's always the Falken Azenis if I get desperate.

I pick up TONS of good and GREAT Toyo 185/13s from SCCA track days for use in my NASA racing.

They love to wear off the bad rubber, and leave me with the fast rubber.

90% of the time, they just need flipped on the wheel, and theres gobs of good rubber left on em for the outside of the tire after that.
