Could I run that size on my FC? I want something like 245 or so in back and maybe 215s up front. Think it will work?

Without rolling the fenders you can't get anything bigger than 225 in the back.

There is someone on here that has 275s in back and rolled his fenders. He said he would have no problem with 255s. i am really wondering about the offset.

 

I think most people go with +35. But I would really like to know this too. I've been looking at rims and most have +40 offsets.

 

When I had my '91 N/A I was running 17X7.5 with a 35mm offset and it was a great fit with either RB or Intrax springs. No rubbing - tires were 215/45's.

 

Ya, the rims I have found that I really want are 17x7.5 and have a 45mm offset($130 each, weigh 16lbs, and I like the way they look so dayum, good price!). I know I want bigger than 215 in back though. I want at least 245/40/17 if it can happen in the back. Front I will go with the 215/40/17 though. If not I found some others that are 17x8 with a 35mm offset so I will have to get those I guess Will 17x7 with a 40mm offset fit up front at least?

 

Either of these by chance?

The +45mm offset wheels with STICK inside the fender too much, especially in the back! I'd get the 17x8s with 35mm offset instead if you want the "RIGHT" fit and look. I got 17x8 with 40mm offset on my car with 215/40/17 in the front and 245/40/17 in the back and they still stick in a bit, so I used spacers to push them out. 17x8 with 35mm would be the PERFECT fit!

 

Hmm...thats good to know. So I really want a 35mm for the back huh. Well if they don't have it what can I do? Can I order it straight from the rim co?

IF YOU MUST have those wheels your talking about and it doesn't come in 35 or 40mm offsets, then the only way it will look TIGHT is if you use spacers! Use a 1/4 inch ring spacer in the front and one of those H&R bolt-on thick spacers in the back.
