4 ports... 4 intake runners...

4 throttle bodies and 4 injectors?

or would a box plenum style intake manifold be more appropriate for a turbo setup... either is feasible and close to the same price range for me.

what do you reccomend?

p.s. this is going to be on a 12a megasquirted.

It all depend on whether or not you really going to need the 4 throttle bodies. I am personally running 4 throttle bodies with MegaSquirt b/c the plan is to run a 787B style intake. This would be a pneumatic or hydraulic actutation to move the intake so the intake is longer for the lower RPMs and shorter up top to give me maximum torque curve.
Of course this is a race car and Street Drivability is not in mind.

well with streetability in mind, to point...

a little more info for ya... If i was to go with 4 tbs i would use motorcycle (like gsxr 750) throttle bodies and if i was to fabricate a plenum'd intake it would use a "gm" tb to more easily accomodate the megasquirt and sensors that it uses.

Just have to say... unless you have something clever in mind, it might be a better idea to use stepper motors for trumpet length control. Pneumatic or hydraulic just seems like a godawful nightmare.
