Kidding.

I've got the money put back for the engine, i should be picking it up sometime later this weekend or early in the week. Low milage, strong running 302 with ECU, Harness, all manifolds, ignition, fuel system, ect. for $300. Hopefully i'll be able to post a video of the inital start-up when spring comes around, i doubt i'll get much done with the swap over the winter aside from collecting parts due to an unheated shed which i will be working in.

Heh, i didn't post the details. I just discussed with him the final things about it after he stopped by this evening. A little update for the people who called BS on me.

It's taking longer than i expected, i was expecting to have it running by the end of this month. The guy buying my Camaro backed out on me after i held the car for him for a month. I resorted to getting a job to pay for this, unfortionately it'll be too cold to work on a car this late in the year.

It's not only a First Gen tech section, also a discussion of performance modifcation, this goes under the "performance modification" section.

If it was me doing the swap, I would have invested into a heater for this frozen shed first....

Here's the deal with that, my mother won't let me use a heater because "it'll catch fire".

I want to know about the whole 302 swap process. Those engines sound mean as hell and i get tingling in my stomach just from thinking about over 300 lb of instantaneous tourque. We are talking about an engine that's not that big yet already makes some decent power in a stock form.
One doesn't even need to modify the internals to hit high 12's with this setup in a naturally aspirated form.

mar3 are you some kind of rotary police?

It seems like you can do any mod, any monstrosity at all around here until you mention a V8.

I say good luck on the swap. The car is pactically made for it. you will find that it is surpisingly simple.
