What brake pads do you recommend?

I have a 1982 GX (Canadian model) with 4 wheel disc brakes.
I want to change the brake pads to ones that don't squeal as much. Some that are quiet and relatively brake-dust free would be the requirements.
What type and brand do you recomend, that I can find up here in Canada.

Thanks.

What are you using now?

And alot of the guys on the forum here swear by Hawk HP+ pads, though I can't vouch for their un-squealability....

I picked up some regular old Canadian Tire Premium brake pads, once I get them on, I'll let you know how they hold up.

Well, if you're looking for nice non-dusty non-squealing pads then HP+ are NOT the way to go... But man do they stop hard....

If you're looking for a more streetable pad then check into the Hawk HPS pads. They aren't as high of friction, but still a lot higher than "normal" parts store type pads. Minimal squeal, and minumal dust.. They probably dust a little more than some, but not too bad.

There are other brands out there, but my experiance is with Hawk, and I've been nothing but impressed.
