Have an '88 vert, noticed that the ride side rear black moulding that holds the marker light has a little hood/lip over the lens. All the other mouldings are flush with the lens. They are black, were the '89 mouldings different? Did someone put this thing on from another Mazda? I can take a picture if anyone cares. Thanks

 

take a look above... what do you see? a gas filler lid they put it there so that if you spill some gas, it wont melt the plastic.

I just cracked the lens and replaced it when I noticed the moulding.

 

I noticed that a while ago when I was waxing my car, I love engineering!

 

Hehe, I always noticed that on my car and thought maybe it was replaced with one of a different year... Hehe I feel dumb..

 

I thought the same thing-was getting all paranoid thought I bent the moulding or panel when I cracked the lens

 

Wow, thats weird, i thought mine was in a crash and replaced or it cracked,wow
