Best bang for your buck, springs for road racing.

What would be the cheapest thing you would suggest as for as after market suspension upgrade?
I see alot of after market coilovers ( Matrix ) that are cheaper than some regular srings (Eibach) but I don't know if they are worth buying.
Did anyone try and cut a coil off of there stock springs to lower there ride hight?
Just trying to get the best bang for my buck.
I'm running a race only S5 FC n/a and I'm not worried about ride quality

hey brett
your car ready for june 1?
if you want to run blue group just show up stock. if you want to go faster get coilovers............. stock suspension = 1:30:00
i just cut the springs to lower the car about 1". the good thing about coilovers is that you can get the proper camber. $1100 for coilover set. or stock for free and run with us in blue group...........do you have a parts car? try to use those springs cut and see what difference it makes. if you don't like you can switch back to stock. or just by the eibach. but remember with stock shocks aftermarket springs will probably kill the shocks pretty fast.
also read elsewhere here a good combo is 400lbs front 275 lbs rear......just in case
later
