I think the duck-tail wing kinda messes up the the body lines of the car. But at least its functional. So if your gonna get some track time, ide say keep it. If its just a street car. Get rid of it.

Keep it for sure. It's functional and neato keen looking to boot. If you don't want to keep it, give/sell it to me! I miss my '82 now, because it looked just like your car.

Needs the original style IMSA front bar, that would balance it out nicely.

I also say keep it. It looks nice and it would probably be a pain to remove.

(wo wo wo)
should it stay or should it go....

Personally I'm not wild about the ducktail look, but that's subjective.

Keep it, everybody's already told you why:
1) Much work to repair paint damage and holes in body.
2) Areodynamics are better with it.
3) Looks good without being ricey.

I'd say lose it,

Based on the pure looks, replace it with a more modern style wing. I'm always trying to give my car a up to date look. Yes the car is old but, with a little accents here and there nobody will guess it's an earily 80's car.

As for actual gains, you have to hit some major speeds to get full use of a spoiler.

Rear hatch is just the glass - spoiler goes around the rear sheetmetal.

I like it when its combined with the IMSA air dam, just out there chillin by itself looks odd IMO. I have one that I'm refinishing that I will sell once its done, so if anyone is interested (which is sounds like you are) pm me.
