You can't.
Well, unless you want to go to the trouble of taking off the turbocharger and exhaust manifold and getting in there some how to look into the exhaust ports and see the seals... but I don't think there is room to do that.

Phone them and ask them; if you still have your receipt, they probably have some records in their computer or books of what work you had done there.

yeah i still got the receipt but i was done in 99 do you think they would still have any records from the cause it was done while they were still in toowoomba but they are in brisbane now. i was told by someone to try and look through the spark plug hole. id have to measure though to be totally sure

Oh yeah, I forgot about the spark plug hole. Try to look through there, or get in there with a little pair of calipers to get a measurement of the seal thickness. This might also be hard if you still have all your engine accessories attached limiting engine bay room.

Also, I am not sure if they would have it in the computer still. The only way to know though is to phone them and ask.

If you can't see the apex seal and get a caliper reading from either the spark plug hole or the exhaust port...
And if the shop can't tell you the info...
The only way to know is to take the engine out to examine through the holes/ports (or take it out and dismantle it)

What kind of vaccum do you have at idle? 3mm seals usually have low vacuum at idle....but that could also be an indication of low compression w/ 2mm seals.
