blown tein's ????
which model?
Dan, go for monotube. And give me a shout. Someone mentioned for me to contact you. Can't remember who. Said you might need some help. I'm here for ya and you must be close by.
Later, Rishie
You should call Tein or the dealer you purchased them from. Don't believe rebuild kits are available. You might be able to purchase a damper itself and swap them out.
What model do you have?

Tein USA will rebuild them for you. My rears blew out after less than a year. I sent them too Tein, and they said there were tool marks on the shafts that caused them to fail
Anyway, I had to have them back, so I had them rebuilt. The cost was around 200.00 including new shafts. About a month later one of my front pillowball mounts failed(fell apart). I just removed the pillowball mounts all the way around and replaced them with the stock mounts(much quieter). This was on my 97 SupraTT. I have ground control/koni yellows now on my FC, I will eventually replace them with the GC Advanced design double adjustables. Hope this is informative, Carl Byck

Rishie, this is Dan, I came in with Justin (green 5th gen Lude) a long time ago with my red Lude because I needed the rear tires swapped out for different ones, still remember that?
Well I sold the Lude and bought a base RX-7. Anyways I talked to Justin online and he says that you may have some FLT-A2s at a better price, maybe even the HAs as well. THat's what he was probably talking about.
It seems like under more spirited driving the TEINS will blow? If so then I might as well as go with the ever so popular Yellow/GC...........??

I'm not sure about which models you guys are using/looking into but for what it is worth the RA and RE set-ups are for track only per Tein USA.
I was looking into a set of these for my car, which is driven on the street, not very much, but still is nonetheless, and the guy I talked to at Tein said that the coil-over RA and RE systems can not take the abuse of the street. He said that the dampers are made as light as possible and that parts can and will literally break. I would imagine blowing damper seals could result as well.
Good luck.
