No side moldings? quest for a new look (warning, 56kers)

Being a previous owner of lots of cars with more curves than the FC. I was working on my 87TII and i just happened to take a step back and noticed how it wasnt as clean (shaply) as id like it to be. The boxy shape was overly defined and i couldnt figure out why until one of my side moldings pealed off one day while i was driving..(WHOOPS!) I Then noticed that the side molding lines were just way to embossed to and it actually takes away the accent of the actuall body lines (well to me anyway). So i did some photoshopping of FCs i had in my computer to see if taking out the middle deffinition would improve or worsten the look of the car. Normally i think its garbage to do work like this to anycar, personally i think its rice. But after messing around with a few FCs taking out the side moldings and lines, without merging the lines of the bumper, sidesteps, fenders. I found that the flow of the car seems pretty damn good..i think in my opinion it accents the flared bodyline of the car a bit more. Heres some samples..id like your opinion!

-Josh

**remember all are photoshopped sorry if its your car and i made it look ugly**
**cries**

Blue Wide Body FC with FD3S GTC front bumper

Stock White S5 on SSR or Work like wheels

Odula FC , i like this one...looks better without that spoiler

GPsports White FC

Furbs GPsport FC rear shot...honestly i like Furbs car WITH the side lines..but i wanted to see what it looked like anyway..(DONT KILL ME FURB!) **hides in fear**

Silver FC with REA FC2000 front...i dunno how i feel about this one.

it looks ok without the side mouldings with a stock body. BUT it is a bad idea to just bondo over the side moulding holes since bondo shrinks over time and will leave a small indention allong the perimiter of the car. if you can, weld some new steel over the main body lines, then fiberglass the bumper trim.

i personally like the s5 trim on a clean car better then no mouldings. i think it lengthens the car.

no side molding makes it look way slab sided. i dont know what you are smoking but everyone is entitled to their opinion and they are granted the ability to modify their car as they see fit so good luck but think hard about it...

I duno guys, I think hes on to somthing... I had thought about it before, but wasnt sure how id look... I duno if I like it more than the moldings, but it does look different...

Figure a way to do it. heres an idea, theres some sandable metal tape you can buy that you could possiably use it to cover the molding creases and then use a little body filler or somthing of better quality and make it look flush on the door... then posibly some foam injection or somthing into underside of it to give it more structure (so it wouldnt look or feel like a peice of paper covering the hole.

imo the Stock White S5 FC looks the best...
