cleaning radiator?

im in the middle of a tear down and when i got my radiator out i noticed it has a bunch of shit on the back side of it. what would be the best way to clean it without bending fins? water pressure? air gun? steam? also my car has about 75k on it.. should i clean the inside of the radiator? i know i shouldnt use tap water because it can cause calcium deposits inside
