i was wondering if my rx7 can start withought the air flow box sensor in the bottom of the air flow box? just lemme know thanks guys...

The little cone thingy?

I think so but you need to push it in maybe to start it

no i dont think so cause the air box has a sensor thingy in the bottom of it and i guess i pulled the wire out and yea just wondering

it'll start and prob. rev ok 'til about 1500-2000rpms.

yes get a new one , i dont know how the motor will run like this under load w/o the maf though so i wouldnt try driving it in this condition.

If the AFM is unplugged, it will start, then immediately die. You MUST have it plugged in for the car to run.

On some DSM site this dude claimed his Eclipse could run and everything with no AFM (They call it MAS). Upon other taking theirs off to test this, their cars either wouldn't run or ran so poorly they laughed. To this day, I hear he still goes on with his story. Flaw in his lie is that he has no proof, and won't let anyone pop the hood to see if it's true.

Sideways has it right, for sure. Keep it in unless you want a 2,900lbs paperweight in your driveway.
