SEVENSTOCK-14: Thank you!
Guys,
On behalf of the SevenStock Crew we want to send out a huge thank you to all who came out today and made the event a huge success!
Altough we suffered some delays and challenges in the morning, once we got up and running things seemed to calm down. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding with us at this new venue! It seems the FAIRPLEX was just not ready for a SEVENSTOCK event!!!
We hope all enjoyed!

WoW! Another epic SevenStock Event. This particular SevenStock event was more successful than I'd ever imagine it could be, considering the time constraints on our hand! I knew we were in for it when people were showing up before us at 5:20am!!
I just want to thank every in line for being very patient with our Crew. Just remember folks, COURTESY GOES ALONG WAY folks!
I want to thank MY SEVENSTOCK CREW FOR PUTTING THIS EVENT TOGETHER TODAY! THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR FANTASTIC VOLUNTEERS! You guys Rocked it!
I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT of this event.
ROTARY POWER IS STRONGER THAN EVER!!!
The positive things I OVERheard people say today was well worth it! = ) Yes we are listening!
I'm going to bed for a well deserved nap.

The thank you more belongs to the So Cal RX Club for making sure the year didn't get away without a 7Stock. All things considered, especially the distractions leading up to it, very much a success.
I trust the folks at Mazda now better appreciate what these guys do with what they have to work with maintaining the iconic spirit the rotary engine brings to their brand. The primary thing that really sets them apart from all other automobile manufacturers.
To borrow from the great message John F Kennedy delivered:
Ask not what the So Cal RX Club can do for you, ask what you can do for the So Cal RX Club.
I'm sure I'm not the only RX7 enthusiast that is reading between the lines of the delays leading up to yesterdays event. This event is a regular celebration that helped keep interest in the Rotary Engine alive for most of the time between 1995 and 2004 when the wankle engine was finally reintroduced via the RX8. It is an important part of what will keep that interest alive until the 16X and the car Mazda will put it in is finally ready to be introduced down the road. It is far more important to the name brand of Mazda for this event to continue and grow than it is for this small group of self sacrificing enthusiasts who make this happen for no financial benefit to themselves. If that truth gets lost in their perspective of what is necessary for their own good, then they shouldn't become surprised when the value and appreciation of their branding drops to bland KIA like levels.

Speaking for myself; I thought you folks did a fine job pulling everything together at the last minute, and I thought the venue was excellent. First SevenStock with flush toilets & air-conditioning!
I heard about the delays in the walk-in opening, and evidently there were more people interested in displaying outdoors than there was room for, but except for that everyone I talked to was very positive about the venue and the show.
Seems like people were absolutely fine with the minimal costs involved compared to what was offered. Best sign of success is when demand outstrips supply. Even opting for the inside display, I can't think of any other all-day event in SoCal that costs less but delivers more at a nicer place.
Job well done, to all the organizers and volunteers. I'd be pleased to do it there again.

From all of us from Sin City (we only made it out with six cars this year) awesome job everyone in some respect may be the best sevenstock to date. As you as a group overcame adversity, your dedication is inspiring and the Rotary community is very looking to have you.
There was the space issue but we underestand there were many unknowns as you follks scrambled to make this happen. With that being said we are glad there was a Sevenstock at all
Now go rest you have less then a year to do it again lol

To everyone from the SoCal club who busted tail to bring us another over the top event, THANK YOU! You guys are always awesome hosts, and I'm glad to say that many over the years have become good friends. I know that challenges of the new facility were a PITA at times, but overall those of us from Arizona who attended LOVED the new facility. As was mentioned before, the indoor was awesome and gave everyone a break from the sun during the day. The outdoors with trees added great variety to the event. Rooms at the Sheraton were an unbelievable steal for the price. Again, thanks for the time it took to negotiate everything to make OUR weekend more enjoyable. I know this event it about the ROTARY engine, but as time goes on, it's more about meeting up and hanging out with my SoCal FRIENDS once a year that make it so enjoyable.
Thanks again to ALL!!

Its awesome that you guys (SoCal Club) pulled this off on such short notice. I am truly sorry I could not make the event this year, but can only hope that the same enthusiasm will be applied for years to come despite the level of involvement from Mazda. I will be saving my pennies (and vacation days) to make sure I attend this event next year and in the years to come.
