v6 swap

hey guys, so i have a 1991 turbo II with a POS engine and no mechanics who can repair it , i live in Portugal and it´s not exactly a rotary friendly place so unfortunately i have to swap the engine for something else and i´m planning a swap with a 3.7l v6 from other mazda models but actually a cyclone (FORD) engine , i want to stay with mazda engines , kinda, and this looks like a good choice. I have seen other swap´s in this forum including the 3.7l v6 , but i´m planning on doing it with the stock gearbox and rear end to keep it as close to original as possible and not have problems with shifter placement and i do like the way that gearbox feels when driving, the car only has 110,000 kilometers, that´s 68.000 miles and the gearbox looks perfect , as for the setup i already have a intercooler kit, i´m using twin garret´s gt 28´s and a haltech ecu , the wheels are momo racing 17" 245 in the back and 225 in front, if anybody has advice for me i would be thankful,

This website may have some information:
GRANNYSSPEEDSHOP.COM

We also have some engine swap sections of this forum. The V8 section may have good info that you could use for your swap even though it is not technically a V8 engine.

thanks for the info but i have checked those and i found a similar build by mach80 but nothing more on this engine and i dont really get it, seems to be a great engine and mazda and ford are using it in several models , mustang , f150, and there are supercharger kits for the mustang on stock internals doing around 420 to 450 whp and for me those numbers look great in a car like the rx7 without putting to much weight in the front of the car

Don't bother reinventing the wheel, go with something that's at least been proven. 1JZ or SR20 are other good choices.
