Flywheel nut confusion
HI again, I destroyed my clutch😈. So I planed on replacing it. So far I have the old clutch out and and the new one ready to go back in. But my flywheel look terrible so I want to get it resurfaced. I know the nut has +/-300ft/lbs on it and that it is a 54mm nut. I have my friends air gun to remove it. After I remove it, how do I reinstall it to the correct torque? I could use the air gun, but I wouldn't know if I was getting the correct torque. Also my compressor is only a 6 gallon with a max psi of 135. I will put pictures bellow of my situation.
questions:
•how do keep flywheel from moving when trying to take the bolt off?
• how do I reinstall it to the proper torque?
FYI the engine is still in the car.
If the pics don't work let me know.

Borrow a good gun and compressor and crank the flywheel nut on as far as it will go.(this of course is when you put the flywheel back ON!)Any good gun will give it at least 300.
I actually had a Truck Tire mobile service truck come over and zip the nut off and put it back on when I was done.I was just starting out and had no tools.
Then I got smart and got a 42 inch breaker bar and socket.
I made up a flat bar tool to hold in place while taking the nut off and it doubles as a 19mm fromt pulley nut removal tool and Flywheel Removal tool
Oh you can use 2-1/8th socket if you can't find the 54mm..it's the same size.

Harbor freight also sells a 24" breaker bar for cheap. A little thread locker if you have no way to get close to 300 ft/lbs. In a pinch if you have a suitable steel bar stock lying around you can drill a couple holes to bolt it on the FW. The bar will rest against the car's chassis to keep things from turning.
Once the FW is off, it takes less than 5 minutes to replace the rear main seal too. They're cheap and you wouldn't want to put everything back and have it start leaking all over that new clutch disc a week later. Just saying.
