welcome to the board.

i will assume, based on your post and attempted post history, that "coils" is meant to be coilovers?

in that case, there's slim pickings for the Gen I cars unless you can fabricate your own system. Ground Control (which i think only makes a kit for one end of the car) and there has been some discussions on a fairly new kit from Techno Toy Tuning, that does both ends of the car.

what are your plans?

Hi, sorry for the late reply, i have bout a pair of diamond racing wheels and wanted to lower it a bit more to get a nice look. Are there lowering springs or was thinking of cutting the springs, but would rather not.

B&G, Racing Beat, and Suspension Techniques all have springs that lower the car about an inch and are a little stiffer than stock. It's been said the B&G lower a little more, but I can't verify. I have stock springs cut 1/2 coil front, 3/4 coil rear. Always cut the tops if you're going that route.

Initially, I cut the stock springs -- 3/4 coil out of the rear and 1/2 coil out of the front. Then I used a torch and grinder to reshape the last half coil on the front springs so they would sit evenly on the upper seat. The end result was that the car was still too high for my tastes, and I was getting tired of swapping and reworking components.

I recently bought a set of B&G springs, and the ride height is just right. They have a progressive wind front and rear, so they don't come loose when the car is jacked. The initial spring rate seems to be lower than OE (based on my hand compression test), but the rate increases enough under high compression that they seem to resist bottoming very well.

My initial impression is very positive.
