electrical gremlins
Hello again. My 88 vert seems to have some gremlins.
The wiring is hacked behind the dash, and it does some funny stuff.
My clock resets everytime I leave the car , and usually dosent work.
My ac dosent work it just indicates That It Is On If You Hold The Button. In a convertible its useless Tho.
My window wont work on the passenger side, and I have no fuse panel cover so I dont know if it is a fuse.
The electronics seem to reset every time I shut the car off.
So another question would be how hard is it to swap in a new interior wiring harness?

Clock should be hooked(in the wiring when stock) up to receive Bat+ and if that wire is broken then it will reset every time the key gets turned off.Although the Light clusters on these cars are prone to cold solder joints and lose contact over time.Makes the circuit look faulty.
Do you HAVE A/C?..some car have the indicator for A/C in the controls but did NOT come with the actual System.Check your engine for a Compressor.Driver's side front.under the power steering unit.
Windows: If the master switch(driver's side ) will not operate the passenger window then it is that switch. If the Passenger switch does not operate the window(either) then it is either that switch or the window circuit.
You can find a Picture if the LID of the electrical fuse box in the Frequently Asked Questions Threads located at the TOP of this Section.Check the fuse, definitely if both windows do not operate.
