Charcoal Canister Location?

Hello all,

After extensive searching, I have found plenty of threads describing the ins and outs of deleting the charcoal canister, but I just bought a FD RX7 that I suspect already has the canister removed, and I want to install one back in to pass CA emissions. Can anyone please post a pic of the canister in the engine bay for me? I want to make sure I am not just missing it (can't find anything showing where the part is actually located).

Thanks!
Jeff Braun

It isn't in the engine bay, it's back by the gas tank. In the engine bay the only parts are a small plastic tank that bolts to the intake elbow, a check valve, and a solenoid.

Ah, well that would explain why I couldn't find it, haha. Ok thanks. Do you know if it's visible without lowering the fuel tank or is it up above it somewhere?

It's visible. Driver side, forward of the gas tank, above the CV axle.
