Were you able to figure out the door issue? I'm having the same problem, and like your videos show, all of the parts I can see seem to be working fine. Any idea how they're going to get the door panel off to fix the lock mechanism?

Thanks for the reply. Bummer that you have such a long wait for parts. Being SOFA status in Korea limits me to being able to own 1 car so that would just be killer. Btw, I think my problem is the cable is kinked or locking mechanism is jammed. Maybe it is the cold weather here that is making the cable stick to is outer sheath, but I dont really want to wait till warm weather to get the door open. Wish people in Korea knew how to build houses with garages, would make this so much easier to work on. Time to find a good locksmith I guess before my friend returns from his TDY and takes my loner away. Well good luck with your door and please post your update when you get it fixed.

Hey I seen your message from 11-05-09 about your lock and now I am having a similar problem.....lock mechanism is jammed and I can get the drivers door unlocked. Was wondering what you did to get this resolved. I am hoping there is a way to get the door open so I can replace the locking/opening mechanism without bearking part of the door. I am also deployed over in Korea so there are not any mazda dealers over here and the few RX7 specialist that I have met are questionable at best Any info would be appreciated.
