Seller's description of T2 short block was 'bought the wreck recently and heard it run when he picked it up'. I made the really bad assumption that I was buying a short block that was ready to assemble and install.
'Recently' is a gross exaggeration. I can turn it over easily enough by hand & know that nothing is broken. But the ‘chuff’ sounds tell me that some of the seals are stuck. No way I can put this in a car and expect it to run. It will need a tear down.
