Just wanted to introduce myself to the board. My name is Kevin and I live in Austin, TX. I founf this beauty from a coupe who had just moved here from the mid-west. It has 121,000 original miles and is a one owner vehicle (based upon a title search and original title.
THe paint is fading but over all the body is straight. The interior is in great condition except for the seats which have a few rips in them. Everything works in the vehicle and it runs absolutly great (after I rebuilt the carb). The owner told me it has been driven about 2x's per month for the past year and that he really didn't want to part with it. I got the beauty for $500.00 off of Craigs list here in Austin. I wanted to toss some photos of it out here for everyone to see before I get her painted and a new sound system installed. I am not a racer or anything like that. I just appreciate the car because I had one over 20 years ago when I was in High School. Best car I have ever owned.
Let me know what you think of the pics. Interior pics will come soon.
Nice, welcome to the forums. I too have an 83, looks like yours is a GS also. What are your plans for it?
Thanks to all of you who welcomed me to the forum.
Well, for now, it is cleaning up the interior. Everything is great (carpet, dash is perfect) but door panels need to be replaced and sets need to be redone. As far as the engine goes I am not planning anything major right now but have read alot of great things on this forum that I would like to do. I had one of these cars when I was in high school back in 85. Loved it then and love it now. I do plan on getting painted (hopefully next month). There are so many upgrades and add-ons I can do I am not sure where to start.
