QC Hi there!

Hi guys! This is my first post on here so I'll try to cover everything there is about me. I'll probably put all my personalities in list form..

-I'm a forum junkie.
-The RX-7 has been my dream car for 10 years now and I finally got 1 a few days ago.
-I do a lot of sports.
-Although my username is Alex_Polska, I do not live in Poland, I live in Canada. My parents are both Polish immigrants but I was born in Canada. However, I do speak Polish.
-I have quite a crappy knowledge of engines, engine parts, upgrades. So I'll be trying to learn some stuff of about those subjects on these forums.

Cheers!

Alex

Well, thanks for the info and welcome aboard, Alex!

What year RX-7 did you get and what's the story behind that?

I didn't get one yet

I am trying to buy one of my brothers' FD3Ss. Hopefully he'll give in... I do plan on using it as a weekend car and a track car every so often.

My brother has a couple of FD3Ss (3). He uses 1 as a track car, 1 as a daily driver and 1 as his "meet" car. The one I want is his daily driver which has surprisingly low kms on it (30 000). I know the Apex seals will break within the next 20 000 kms and I plan on doing a 20B swap.

Just need 1500 dollars more to buy his car...

Sounds like a solid plan of attack. Keeping the cars in the family is always a good thing so I hope your brother sees this situation the same way you do!

You bet!

Sorry for my noob question but oddly, this is the first time I see a front fender that has a piece "cut out" I guess you could say.

Right at the beginning of the side panel. I know it's to vent the wheels and to get rid of air pressure but I think it looks really cool and I'm just wondering about how to do it. Do you have any info on it Mario? You seem like a guy with a lot of knowledge.

Did you get the FD yet? If so, how much did it end up costing?

Does your brother spend a lot maintaining 3 FDs?

Didn't get it yet. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I do have to pay for some books for school though so that might set me back a bit. His daily driver is bone stock. He hasn't spent that much on it. He put 30k easy into his track car. His meet car he just got. He's going to be fixing it up. Not sure how much he spent on it so far. I think he might sell his track car though seeing as he's becoming a dad...

Czesc olyrx7!

Mario: 3rd gen, 1st gen, for me, it's all about owning a rotary. It's what I dreamed of ever since I went to a car show with my dad hen I was 7. 13 years ago I guess you could say.

FDs are gorgeous, but be prepared to get your hands dirty. At least you have a brother that evidently knows them really well in case you run into trouble.

Just made a Microsoft Excel list of everything I want to put into the car (With brother's input). Lets just say that I'm putting around 3 times more into it than I'm buying it for (3 * $10000).

Will have my brother's FD next week. So stoked!
