Back again to rotary

I started out in college trying to fix my dads 88 convertible. The rear apex seal when into the cat! This was the first engine I ever worked on. Well it came out it just didn't go back in.

Needless to say it was glowing red on the exhaust header as he limped it back home. I'm glutton for punishment I want to try again with an FD. Hopefully with a different result.
