Official MS2/extra with MS thread (check here before asking your ms2 questions)
Since MS2 is becoming more popular, and the instructions for wiring it up and modding the board are different in some ways from the original ms1 instructions, I'm creating this thread to cover those differences.
Before reading this thread, please read the MS1 thread.
Several modifications are necessary to the V3 board before you can use it for ms2:
1) You must add 4.7k pullup resistors as per the MS1 thread on the LEDs:
2) You must remove the IAT bias resistor, and add one in the 30-50kohm range.
3) If you want to control the BAC valve, you must duplicate the 2.2 circuit on the V3 board (v3 only, v3.57 can drive the BAC valve out of the box). When you duplicate this circuit, replace the pn2222a transistor with a ztx689, or a TIP122 (TIP122 is recommended, can handle much more current).
4) For those who want to use the unmodified CAS, you must build a conditioning circuit. That circuit can be found here:
Note that this circuit is different from the one you would use for the second trigger on an MS1. This modification is necessary to help get rid of noise on the second trigger input. The output of the second trigger circuit must be wired through a 1k resistor to JS10 on the V3 board.
These are the main hardware modifications necessary for using the MS2.
Most of the focus of the rest of this thread will be on software settings. Those will be posted soon, and will be based on the MS2/extra 2.1.0 code.

There is an excellent guide on Megasquirting an RX-7 using MS2 here in PDF form:
