Exclamation S5 Wiring Diagrams - ENTIRE BOOK Available online

Well, it took me a few hours but I got the entire book hosted at photobucket.

I organized not like the book. I broke it into sections and it is divided a lot to help with finding what you need. It is searchable also. The search looks at the tags above the thumbnails.

The actual images are 100K-175K so it should be dial up friendly. The indexing lets you see a thumb nail first. So, you don't have to download each one to find what you need.

I only have 1500mb of bandwidth a month...so if you want to post a picture on this forum...could you use rx7club.com to host it? Thanks!

This is the 1991 book.

I can't host it...but I do have all the original images in a ZIP (19MB). Also, I have the unedited pictures (150MB).

Not sure....but don't see why not.

Also, on the front page is the wiring color diagram...you might want to open that in a seperate window to reference...the color codes they use in the book are a bit...strange.

This is what they look like:

A .pdf version of the manual online would be the ultimate.

Glad you guys like it...I have had this book for almost five years and it has been such an amazing help when messing with the wires in the car.

PM sent...

You know I think photobucket will remain reliable...I looked at the bandwidth for the month and it consumed 500K with 140 hits

But if you want to host it too that would be great!

If you could host the ZIPed version of it that would nice too since I am sure people would like the whole thing on their computer.

PM returned. I think you'd be surprised about the people wanting the whole zipped version. I know the first thing I did when I found out about the S4 version was download the whole thing, and the first thing I did when dad decided to get a FB is to download the whole FSM..

This will be a vital part of their collection. I may be able to make a PDF version of it, once you get it uploaded.

At least in the S5 FSM there are basic wiring diagrams printed. However, Mazda made a seperate book to cover the details. And that is what is hosted. I have never seen the wiring diagrams for the S5 anywhere.

BTW - you should consider converting this to .pdf format like the Service manual. That way you have 1 document (or set of documents), not 500 pictures.

Thanks

I would like to but I don't have the full version of the pdf software...so I am SOL on that. However, the pictures are laid out in a easy way to find them...at least I think so Wonko said he might be able to convert it over...

Great job. It's funny, I was literally thinking last week: You know if I was really motivated, I could scan my 91 Wiring Diag book -- I'm sure people would find it useful.

Glad I didn't bother!

Just a note to all those out there -- even though it's available electronically now, if you ever have the opportunity to buy the real thing, DO IT. Saves countless hours and well worth the money! Of course w/ the electronic version, you can print off what you want and if you tear it up or get it dirty, it's no big deal -- so that's a bonus too!

You don't need the full version, download www.cutepdf.com. Just copy the pictures into Microsoft Word (or similar) and "print to .pdf format."

I just did the "ABS & Cruise" section in 5 minuets, here's what it looks like:

http://www.rx-7source.com/showpics/t...ABS-Cruise.pdf

Note you should consider tweeking your pictures first (see link below) so they're easy to read including:
- digitially trim off the borders
- digitally brighten the picture so it's easier to read
- re-sample the pictures to 8"x10.5" size
- convert the picture to .gif format so the .pdf file is smaller
- set Microsoft Outlook's margins all to 0 inches.

For tweeking the pictures I like using Paint Shop Pro:

I have a .pdf version in the works, it will have bookmarks (indexed) to make everything easier. Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow afternoon and can have it uploaded onto one site or another by tomorrow night or tuesday.

If the book can be hosted somewhere the pictures will stay available for years, then I'll put a copy in the archives. Otherwise, it can't be archived as I'm sick of seeing red X's in archived topics...
