Thumbs up Finaly some progress pics from the Bodyshop

I dropped my carbon fiber hood off today at the bodyshop and was pleased to see that they finally got started on my car. I worked on the hood for a hours today getting out the blemishes and ripples from the resin. The body shop can get the rest.

im not the brightest crayon in the box, so i'll keep the dumb questions aside. But why did they remove your rear windshield?

Also, just out of curiosity, how much do you think a custom bodyshop would charge to paint the engine bay as well? I wanted to change my car from VR to SIlver

They took the glass out 'cause I'm changin from Montego to Innocent Blue Mica. They are charging me an extra $800 to swap colors and cut in the door jambs etc. It was major hail damage that put it in there so Insurance pics up the $5000 or so that it cost for parts and paint.

Got a problem with that???? Do I sense a little attitude?? Are you a little defensive about the subject? I've never heard of anyone running them on the front tires. I've always heard that they suck for auto-x and i couldn't imagine you'd run those on the street Wouldn't they create a little bit of drag?

I was just curious......sorry

Looks good. But I'd be pissed at them for leaving the hood open and letting body dust get all over your polished stuff.

Yea I was a little botherd by all the dust. I'll clean and polish it all again when I get it back.

silvr94r2 I was just joshing with you lighten up.
I haven't noticed any severe drag if it exists.
I'm running all 4 because it was $260 for the set brand new shipped to my door. I think they handle awesome.
What tire set up do you currently have? I used to run 455's and Yoko A520 these 555 drags are by far the best of the bunch. You shouldn't knock it till ya try it.
BTW no need to apoligize I can see your the sensative type

Actually i am the sensitive type But it gets me what i want

Anyway.....i wasn't trying to knock you....it was just my opinion. We all know what opinions are like don't we?

I run Michelin Pilot Sports for street tires.....and my skinnies and M&H's for track. I'm not much on auto-xing.....drag and drift are my area's of enjoyment.

Here's my front street tires...

You like the rims huh? Thanks....they are my favorite! I've had them for about 2 yrs. just sitting in the house collecting dust. I'm ordering the CE28N's in bronze for my girls car next week. We've been tossing around so many rim choices and decided to be Volk twins

Here's her car in all it's unfinished glory.....i better finish it soon or i'll be on my way down the road
