On the internals of the motor. theres 8 of them total, and they seat between the housings and irons. Around the outside.

agreed with adrock, since its open u might as well do a complete overhaul on the motor. Besides its only like $300 for a new seal kit without the hard seals, IE. apex and such.

mazda doesnt rebuild motors, the remanufacture them. ;) hopefully when i finish the year long rebuild ive been doing, it wont blow. But who knows. if it does, id rather spend the $900 for a jspec...

my bad, its not the seals, its the housings, there pre 85 and have the coolant groove on them as well as my irons so im not getting a proper seal. im filling them in sometime this week. my bad.

Note for noob's like me

You cant use old school pre 85 rotor housings with a turbo 2 motor from any year after 85. The coolant seals are backwards. thats why my car leaks, the seals are fine, just the housings are useless...
