you can make a v8 weigh 150 pounds with aluminum heads aluminum block most v8 are around 300 pounds tho give or take that is fully assembled rotary engines fully assembled are close to the same thing, you can pull more hp out of a v8 them rotary any day of the week you spend 5 grand into an import motor your making around 300 you put that much into a v8 there is around 450 -550 hp depends on what parts you use. and putting that into an rx7 would blow your doors off, but different strokes different folks, your probably gunna try and call me a hillbilly or white trash, redneck ya kno buddy that is a stereo type just because ppl like to put v8's in small cars or imports doesnt mean there trashey or any of that. and big deal with 10 pounds of boost me and my dad were in his 69 corvette yesterday and some punk ass in his sr20det 240sx asked if we wanted to race and we smoked him by 5 lengths
