turn signal light bulb keeps blowing up in 99+ bumper lights

anyone have exprienced this? I keep replacing the light bulbs in my 99 bumper lights.. the bulbs will only last a day or two... I'm guessing it got too hot in there? it doesn't just burn out, it blows up in the housing! I'm getting some LED 1156.. think that will solve the problem?

I think you have an electrical problem. I would fix it first.

Are you trying to put in aftermarket bulbs or oem? Are you touching the bulbs with your bare hands?

just using the regular 1156 from automotive stores.. the same bulbs were used when I had the OEM 93 bumper lights and worked perfectly fine.. nothing ever gets blown.. so I dont' think it's an electrical problem.. it's only the two wires... Only when I changed to the new 99 bumper light that it jsut kept blowing up
