Hey guys, I have searched and searched and cannot find an answer (in english lol) to this question:

The JDM models are:
base
type R
type X

I havent seen any type Xs' that have a 5spd, or any type Rs' with a auto trans. And I have looked at A LOT of JDM '92 FD's (like 300+).

Following the US/canadian specs I would assume these models are the same as the R1/R2 = type R, and touring = type X, although I am still confused because there were 5spd touring made...

Can anyone give me a definite answer? I am getting a type R imported in a couple months, and I want to have the right mods rdy for install when it gets off the boat (I am mostly concerned if it has the dual oil coolers).

Ive been curious about this too. My car has the strut tower bar, dual oil coolers, no sunroof, no bose, no cruise control, and the alacantra seats. In the states, itd be probably be an R1, but I dont know what they called it over here.

ty for the info, although it doesnt delve into what options go with what models... but i think its fair for me to assume that the type R =r1, type X=touring, and s=base, judging by the later model simmilarities in the '93+ model years.
