How many hp should I have?
Hi guys, I'm tired of answering this question, I say that I got about 300 whp but I'm not sure... yesterday I raced against a Challenger SRT-8 in a 50-150 km/h pull and a 0-210 km/h and i won both race, I was about 7 length in front of him for the second one...
Mods:
Street port with cryogenic apex seals 2mm
Single turbo T04B @ 13 psi
FMIC
Downpipe 3''
RX7 Store's Magnaflow resonated midpipe
Racing Beat dual tip catback
External wastegate 50mm
4 injectors 850 cc
Fuel pump 255 LPH
Aftermarket oil coolers
Stage 3 clutch
HKS BOV
Koyo radiator
Power FC
And also, what should I buy next to add reliability/power?

Why not put it on a dyno just giving us your mod list does nothing it will all be speculation until you actually put it on a dyno. And I hope your not racing on the street.

the only true way to measure HP is on a Dyno, with the mods you listed you "should" have over 300 WHP but we wont know until its strapped down and numbers are produced.

not as tired as people guessing the answer to this question.
dyno it and stop wasting thread space for a question no one can accurately answer. all anyone can do is guess, and even then it is a ballpark guess. saying you pulled on a car with 400HP by 7 lengths means nothing also, because everyone has different driving skill..

It's finally reliable

Here is an example.
I have a pretty decent setup GT35R,1000/2200 IDs,50/50 water/meth,MSDs, blaa blaa blaa and I was completely convinced I would dyno between 420-450 no problem. Come to find out this was not true. The turner found more problems with my car that I ever knew existed and the car only made 350@15 and 378@18... So in reality with out tossing the car on the dyno I would have been claiming 420+HP and getting my *** whooped by regular 400HP cars.

Main reason claims about hp without dyno sheets is just plain stupid. When people ask me about my hp I always say it SHOULD be making x amount. Because there are too many variables.
For hp and trq numbers go on the dyno. That's all you can do.

you can pretty accurately answer it by going to your local drag strip. There is a formula to work out HP from your time/mph and car weight. Can't remember it now but you can google it.

The question is, are you happy with the acceleration? Knowing the number for the sake of knowing doesn't really matter unless you're concerned about answering the question to the people that ask.
I choose to modestly say "It's not slow".... I could really care if my car had 200whp. As long as it pulls like it does. Puts a smile on my face every time.

I wouldn't call dyno's accurate...
You could take your car to one place it might read 400rwhp, go to another and you might get 373.
I'd rather use the strip to be honest. Dyno's are for tuning a car not about going for power so you can have a readout and brag about it on the internet.

Cause if we know a car is supposed to make 400rwhp with given mods then you dyno it and it makes 340rwhp. Its still fast and will make you smile but something is wrong if it didn't make closer or on 400rwhp.
Then you can go back and address possible problems. Etc.

That's true but isn't it a good reference to compare to know if the car is healthy?

As mentioned, even dyno's can vary considerably.
