was green an original color?

Was green a factory color? I've seen several dark green RX7's, but I don't see that color listed on the production numbers page.

I believe that there was an actual green in '95. Saw it in person myself at the dealer at the time. Rare like the white color...

J/K Jeff

There used to be a MB in my city and I could swear it was green depending on the way the light was hitting it.

Considering how often the MB looks green, you could argue that they should have just called it Montego Green. Other people (friends, service writers, etc.) always refer to my car as being green rather than blue.

Yep, Montego Blue looks either blue or green or black depending on the sun's angle and intensity. The paint is almost a color shifting type, really. I can walk around my car on a sunny day, and just watch it go from blue to green, with hints of gold periodically.

It is a cool color, in my opinion.

I started this thread originally. Yes, I now realize that the color was not green but just Montego Blue. I didn't realize that Montego Blue looks greenish in certain light.

They all look green to me... I think they just wanted a cool name for a green car so they called it montego blue.

My first Fd was Montego Blue and at first I liked it - It was kinda fun when people asked which car I was driving today the green or blue one . But I really liked the blue variants of the color much better than the green ones and started to hate it when it looked green.
