the definitive brake/clutch bleeding thread

I am currently in the process of fabing new brake and clutch lines. There are some good threads about bleeding in the archives but I though that we could start a thread detailing our personal knowledge and beliefs as well as equipment and procedures. Line bleeding is definitely not complicated but I think that some of the more experienced car sages may have some good tips and info for the young guys.

Please post any helpful tips or gouge that you have learned over the years.

topics: order in which you bleed, line contamination, equipment/tools used and procedures, Best way for a single person to bleed his/her brakes, items which should be replaced, possible problem areas.

You'll love it. With a Power Bleeder, you don't need a second person or Speed Bleeders (however Speed Bleeders are still good to have).

I don't own one (a local friend has one that I've used), but it's on my "big list of toys" to purchase.
