To change or not to change

Sup guys! Well i still have my original motor w/ 81k and my clutch starting to slip but not that bad and also my rear seal starting to leak. Should i go ahead and replace it or should i just wait until i have to replace the motor. My original motor still runs good but im worried if i replace my clutch now ill be just wasting money if something happend to the motor...anything is possible!

thanx

Who knows how much longer your engine is good for? Could be another 20K or even more. You're taking good care of it, aren't you? Since it's a given that you'll need to drop the tranny to put a new clutch in, I'd say replace the rear seal now.

While your working on the clutch, consider replacing the clutch fork. they tend to wear out around the 100-150k range

Yes, do the rear seal, it takes about 20-30 seconds with the flywheel off.

Replacing the clutch is pretty easy compared with replacing the motor. If you can manage to get the flywheel nut off the rear main is cheap and easy..
