Anniversary Strutbar Question for FD ..

Sorry if this has been posted/discussed before.

Please tell me if this strut bar was a factory feature. What year? Was it made to commemorate an anniversary?
I basically want to know if it was a stock item on my 1993 Canadian spec Touring VR..
Thanks in Advance.

The strut bar was also a dealer installed option in the U.S. It was listed in the accessories brochure along with the rear wing, door sill scuff plates, mud guards and other equipment.

I've seen some Canadian cars which were like the cars in the UK. They combined features of both the US Touring and R models. One of our Canadian members will have to tell us if the strut bar was original equipment or installed as an accessory.

Just a question..were the 1995 R2 strut bars red or black, and did they have the 'RX-7' plate on them? I guess the later ones (96 and later) in Japan were black, not adjustable and without the little plate.

Thanks for the answers. Guess the bar is not stock on my 93 Touring.

Does anyone know anything about it commemorating an anniversary?
I had heard perhaps it was the 25th anniversary of rotary cars, or of the RX-Series.

Anybody know?
