Take the old cas. Put the cas's electrical plug on the old cas which is now in your hand.

Turn the key to ON.

Lay the two lower sparkplug wires on the left fender near the left strut tower.

Spin the cas's lower gear rapidly. Actually you don't have to spin it very fast at all. IF the fuses are good the thing should make spark at the plug wires on the fender.

You don't spin the starter when doing this. The idea is that there is little or no load on the electrical system when just spinning the cas gear. Nothing to drag the voltage down. Also no wear on the engine or starter.

If you have no spark after doing this, then REALLY make sure the ENGINE FUSE in the interior of the car is good. See the first or second thread on this second generation site for a thread called FAQ. About halfway down the thread is a picture of the interior fuse box.

Also make sure the fuses in the engine bay are good., Only four or five of them.

The afm's plug is on the left side of the air filter assy. It pulls straight off. DO NOT unscrew the jack on the afm, just pull the plug straight off.
