Its the last time im gunna tune these junk ecus.

Just so people know ive found more things wrong with them than right.

Heres just a few examples i have found with them off the top of my head

I had a customer with a 13b bridgeport turbo that had a missfire that made it sound fluffy and not make power. Found the injector duty cycle change around 20% causing missfire events by shitty electronics used to filter the MAP signal. Put in a efi fuel filter to the MAP sensor (crude i know) and straight away the car picked up 50rwkw and no missfire.

Another example was i had a random missfire on a S5 rx7 at about 4000rpm where it just wouldnt fire an injector randomly. Had the ecu tested by microtech nz and they came to the conclusion that the injector timing was wrong, Well i argued about that as its a programmable ecu and there response was there is a clitch in the software that will cause some wierd issues like this.

All in all its a crap product.

So originally did you have the CAS set to centre of the adjustment slot or had you dialed it around hard one way as a timing light would want you to? if you had it centre like mine was to start then it would be around 20 degrees advance which sure would give knock and as mine did make it run hot. Mine is adjusted correct to a timing light so I would assume the spark is occurring when it should? Sure sounds a bit strange what you are saying? Sounds like you have he gear to check it out though.

Would be nice to verify where yo had your CAS adjusted before and where it is now.. and also what triggers you have swapped around.

As per microtech wiring diagram we had the engine running with the CAS inserted with the crank pulley approx 90 degs before timing pointer.

Not sure I follow. So you didn't align leading timing mark and stab CAS as per Mazda manual? Then stick a timing light on and adjust to leading mark? I did the above and adjusted to suit with light. I would say the mark was about 20degs off with the CAS adjusted towards the centre. Sounds like you had a much bigger issue?

Thats how we had it to be able to get it to run with the supplyed wiring diagram from microtech.

Now once i re-arranged the firing order correctly its now as per the factory timing procedure, but only after i rearranged the triggers.
