Wolf Software compatibility to ECUs

Hi All,

Been a long time since I have posted in the Wolf Forum.

I have seen that the company has undergone a lot of turmoil the last 3 to 5 years it seems. And things appear to be running properly? Now?

I am not sure how many are still active with the Wolf ECUs, but I still have 3 of them currently. :D
I have two 3.11 Units and one 4.56 (V4)

SO here is my... quandary.

I have the V3 software (On floppy even)
I have the V4 software (On floppy also)
And I downloaded from Wolf.au the V500 software.

I was under the impression the V500 software was backwards compatible to the V4.. however... when connecting the 4.56 ECU to the laptop and having the V500 running it looks.. connects and says Oh sweet 4.56 Kiss my ass.. and closes.
The V4 software connects and works fine.

I have not bothered with the V3 software.

SO my question.... with a 4.56 ECU.... Can you run the V500 software? If you have a different version of it possibly?
"Wolf_V500_PCSW_5.00.78.zip" is the version I have. That didn't work.

Now that my V4 data cable works (Thanks Michael Smith I think for the scribbled diagram on the web/google/universe) I just need to configure it on the resurrected 1986 Sport.

(S4/S5 6 port eprod motor.. sorta with some extra stuff done to it.)

Any info would be appreciated! Thanks all

Car runs. Got the ignition configured, coils, etc etc.

Using the stock Crank angle(unmodified)

Idling vid, couple revs. Do not have acceleration enrichment on yet. Still getting the idle smoothed out, and being able to easily seamlessly re-start with a whim. (Starts immediately but idles a smidge low at first.. tweaking in progress)

Using the version 4 software.
