Wolf Ems Problem
When my Wolf/car gets to operating temperature it seems to load up on fuel then run very rough and then it dies..I try to re start and it won't fire except for an occassional load pop, which tells me it has spark
...Any ideas here?? Possibly a bad water sensor? I feel I'm missing something.....I back off the 1680cc on the seconds but that didn't help either..I re timed it and thats fine..... Brad Apold |

HI Wayne,
Thats the problem, I can't tune it when its warm because it won't stay running because its so rich after it get to operating temps. Its as if the cold enrich stays on after it get warm...I can start it up cold and it idles fine until it gets to operating temp then it gets really rich and it dies and I can't get it started again until it cools down..... Now, today I was reading the manual w/ key on and the aux fan comes on...The car is cold....then it shuts off....WTF? So I was going to check to see what temp I had it set -on in the Wolf and I can't get into #4, fuel and ignition, as if the Wolf hand held is locked up....The car was running pretty good last week and me and my buddy were on the road tuning it and thats the first time it crapped out...It was like I dropped a cylinder or had a bad plug wire....But the next day its started right up..and again samething like today...Ever seen this happen..??? I tired calling you today, if I don't get ahold of you good luck tomorrow @ Atco....Brad |
CLT sensor may not be working/loose connection
In addition to what we spoke of verify that when the car is cold the coolant temps are around 20-25 degrees and when warm it should go up to at least 70.
CLT sensor may not be working properly due to a loose or broken connection. The sensor, when working properly, should automatically reduce the fuel as the engine aproaches operating temps. |
sounds like the temp sensor mine just did the same thing brad.

sounds to me like there is an error some where between the keyboard and chair:eek:
as this is not the wolf forum this is the AEM forum |

A certain moderator has mentioned this several times to the head shead of this forum, but alas, the title of this subforum remains confusing. Therefore, IMO, the "AEM EMS" subforum should apply to both the AEM AUS and AEM USA products unless any distinctions are made to the subforum title in the future. My idea would be to have a separate Wolf subforum which would help solve this problem, although it would have very little traffic. |
