Wolf 3D need windows software
 

I am new to Wolf EMS. I was wondering if there is a software that you can use on the laptop for the v1 revision 3 wolf. I have looked through the posts and all I can find is V4 software and V500 software. Is any of this software backwards compatible. Also if thier is software are there any advantges over it versus tunning with the controllerother ease of use. Thankyou in advance. Is this ems out of date or is it still a good ecu. I got rid of a power fc for it.

what wolf do you have? 3.11? i think you can use the new software with that, just try it and let us know, if not look for michael smiths wolf resources web site and i think he has a copy of the origional wolf software....

Ok The handcontroller says that I am running version 3.56 is this the correct version. I have tried running the version 4 software and it won't connect. Any suggestion Thank you in adavance.

are you sure your com port on your computer is correct? does it say looking for ecu? configure your communication correctly in the wolf software and see....

Actually I meant it is running 4.56 and when I turn on the software it and connect the ecu it does say looking for ecu but it never connects. Does the version on the handcontroller mean I have a version 4 ecu?

Well the hand controller displays the firmware at hardware init.

So if on the wolf start page which is diplayed for about 3 seconds you can see 4.56.... then yes it is a version 4.

Also configure on the device manager the comm port number you want to use (1-4) and then be sure the wolf software is set to that comm port. The software wont recognise the input unless it is port specific.

4.72 doesn't start
 

hi all,
i saw u have quite experience so i ask You to help me because after purchase Wolf staff literally disappeared, not answering to my emails.

I have a V400 ECU and 4.72 rev 1.66 software

as i start the software it give this strange message thats is making us crazy:

"A version 4 ecu was expected but version 4.72 was found. Application will terminate." and program closes.

It's strange! Software 4.72 complaints it finds a 4.72 ecu and says it wants a ver 4!?!

please help, i purchased this ecu since 4 months and am still sunning with stock!!! :wallbash:

Have you tried any of the other software at all. There is a link in the wolf forum to Micheal smiths page and he has all the software for the wolf listed on there.

You have to switch in your Language Settings the notation auf numbers. You have to exchange the " , " with " . " so your numbers are like this "1,000.00". I told Wolf about this problem and they wanted to correct it.

ok thankYou, and this could let the starting problem to happen? i'll try it immediately...

if its still not working, go to Michael Smiths website: http://www.angelfire.com/droid/wolf3dems/ and download the V4.49 software and see if that works...
