Tour of TEWBLOG (pics)
I know this isnt really wolf specific, but since our datalogging is awful, I figured I'd post this here.
I just connected a GM 3 bar map sensor to my techedge unit. I sourced the 5v power from the TPS output. I configured the sensor to read -100 to 0 in kPa and 0-30 in psi x 10 So 170 = 17.0 psi. Anyway, I just logged a run to Pepboys. I couldn't get any 3rd or 4th gear pulls, so its just messing around in 1st and second so things may look a little rich at the top end. This is a pic of the entire drive from start to finish http://countercultured.net/pics/tewblog/small1.PNG You can highlight a section and zoom in http://countercultured.net/pics/tewblog/small2.PNG This is the highlighted section http://countercultured.net/pics/tewblog/small3.PNG You can also highlight any bit you want, and go to matrix analysis http://countercultured.net/pics/tewblog/small4.PNG You can do this for a single pull, or an entire drive. Makes things very easy for tuning http://countercultured.net/pics/tewblog/small5.PNG |
Pretty bloody good. And really its just simple yet useful.
What actual techedge unit do you have? I'm really thinking of getting one of these. |
Hey me too!!! I need this badly!!!
Rob, give us some specs of your package.... I am very interested in ordering one of them! Thanks George |
I have been looking at this too, I need some more cash though. nyt what version do you have???

I'm using a 2A0 Unit and an LSU4.2 Sensor. I have the the narrowband simulation output from it going to an autometer a/f gauge and the Wolf. I have the wolf RPM output going right to the techedge (its mounted near the wolf).
This was the basic setup I used to tune my car. The other day I just added a GM 3 bar map sensor which requires 5V and Ground. I took the 5v from the Wolf's TPS 5v output and spliced the ground into the techedge units ground. The LSU4.2 sensors go for about $30-$50 depending on where you get them. If you want to duplicate this setup, here are links to everything used http://www.wbo2.com for a techedge unit (the 2A0/2A1 with just cable, or 2B0 if you like a metal case is what you should get. Make sure to get the 7057 one as thats the LSU4 version. http://www.devtechnics.com/tewblog.htm for the logging software. It's $20USD to register. Very fair price for the usefulness of this software. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com for the map sensor and the harness plug for it Part: 12223861 Category: Computer Control Sensors Description: SENSOR AS Min.Qty: 1 Unit Price: $60.49 Quantity: 1 Ext.Price: $60.49 Core Charge: $0.00 -------------------------------------------------------- Part: 15305891 Category: Computer Control Sensors Description: CONNECTOR Min.Qty: 1 Unit Price: $20.64 Quantity: 1 Ext.Price: $20.64 Core Charge: $0.00 The techedge site has links to wideband sensors with part numbers. just get one of the 7057 sensors from wherever. |
