o2 read.
okay so my wb reading is saying 1.6x when idling, but the A/F on teh wolf says 14.x:1 and of course my a/f gauge is pegged at rich. but when i deaccelerate (0.00 injector pulse) it reads .66.... however, when i first start the car. it slowly climbs .00 .02 .04 .06..... to about .62 and eventually to 1.6x i'm conrfused... is maybe the heater is doing something rather strange? idk... any ideas?
thanks, Chase. also, does teh wolflogger still work/still being updated? i'd like to try it out. I Just gotta get a new battery for my laptop. |
What type of Wide Band????
Michael Smith |
um, i'm not sure what the make, but it's a 4 wire.... does the wolf originally come with a wb o2? if that's the case. it's not a o2 that comes with the wolf... the wire colors differ then the wolf's harness.
I imagine if i took it out it'd give me the make on the side of it...? thanks, Chase. |
Does it have 2 white wires 1 black and 1 Grey...do you have a picture? How did you end up with this WB??? ANy numbers on it???
It may be a LSH24 like george has! Michael Smith |
2 white, one gray one black......thats the one i got :)
lsm got here by the way!!! |
yeah man, 2 white 1 grey 1 black. It came with the car. I bought the car with the wolf3d already wired in.
|
be sure.. pull it out, and read the number on it
|
Sounds like a bosch sensor to me, now as George says can you read the numbers without removing it??? My Guess is that it is a LSH24. The logger will not show accurate AFR's with this device. It will log voltages but that is useless if you don't know both current and AFR for that current and voltage. You could write a calibration file for the logger to suit your o2 but that requires that you know the AFR's Voltage. If you have the voltage verses AFR while hot you can make a custom Calibration file. PM me but it won't be that accurate. Also the auto tuner may be able to be used with these reversed o2 sensors but it is a long way away from being complete.
George when will you have the lsm11 in? Mine is only in tempory because I will use the Narrow band for daily driving once tuned. Cheers Michael Smith |
hmm. I havn't had a chance to pull it. i work from dark to dark (god damn winter). what o2 can I get that WILL work with your logger? I definately need to do some serious logging, hah.

Jerek10 the Wolf AFR screen is designed to work with a LSM11 that means you can read the AFR directly off the Wolf. With the Auto tuner I may be able to make the tuner configurable enough that any sensor could be used but that remains to be seen. With the Auto Tuner it is designed to target a Voltage and work down on voltage going from rich to lean. Now not all widebands work like that some are rich at 0 volts and lean at 5 volts. Some can be configured any way you like.(the ones with supporting hardware) I will try to place a Inverted option for inverted widebands but I will not be able to test these or write calibration files for them. I could make a generic inverted wideband calibration file for configurable O2 sensors. 10 AFR = 0 volts and 20 AFR = 5 volts. This however is a long way off.

LSM is here... so all i need it to get it installed. Prolly through the weekend. We are undergoing refresher coarses at the moment... load of crap .... but it must be done...
I will post shortly.... George ps, ntk, and audi use the same colour coding... i got my hands on another o2 sensor from audi, and the colour codes on the wires are the same g |
well um. I finally found out waht hte o2 that's hard wired in.. it's off of a Ford i guess. part number F5AF-9G444-CB So I assume I need to find a LSM11. I saw one off of ebay for 195 USD. Anyone have one that's used for sale? I really need to get my hands on one so i can use the logger and even the 'tuner' haha :)
|
Jerek10 don't spend any money yet I will look for some data on that O2 maybe I could work out a rough Calibration table for the Logger.
Cheers Michael Smith |
right on man, I really appreciate it. you guys do so much work for people. it's ridiculous. Yeah please. let me know. Cause no matter how rich I run my injectors etc (ms) I never seem to get black smoke(HC) out of the exhaust (I just wanna see where i'm at, really). And the fact I can't seem to do that scares me. I got upgraded FP but stock FPR. you recommend I get one? I'm finding out tomorrow what the RC secondaries are but my primaries are venom 720's. I believe the secondaries are either 850 or 1000cc, I'll let you know.
|
I run 550/1000 with a Malpassi reg but if I was buying a reg it would be a SX on a large extend port S4 block.

okay i'll look into it. Also, any luck with the o2? the guy that does wolf tuning in my area doesn't do Rotaries :( So i'm SOL :(

Looking Looking waiting to email replies..

Do we count as in your area? :D We love the Wolf, and the RX-7! - Ryan @ CorkSport |
Hi Evileagle, would you have access to O2 datasheets??? I am looking for datasheets for both the Wolf Logger and Autotuner. As I have said before I provide these as a Wolf/RX7 community service.
I also hear that CorkSport has cracked out a few Stiff 7's ...I even hear about you in Australia. Cheers Michael Smith :allcho: |
i suppose you could be in the area.......... gimmie rates! <3<3
|
hopefully ppl get back to you asap... i'd love to get some sort of a/f reading heh.

We're right down the freeway! Dyno tuning is $125 an hour. |
Thats inline with what they charge here in Australia. (taking into account exchange rates)
Also Evileagle if you want to use the logger to keep a eye on the Wolf its free for anyone ....no restrictions. Cheers Michael Smith |
this is kinda off topic, but Michael, your very good with rx7's. So i'd like to ask you.
for my fuel system i'm going with the SX FPR like you suggested, but the an- fittings (6) are rather foreign to me. what part of the fuel line should I make an? the whole fuel line from the tank to the FF to the FPR fuel rails and back to the tank? any suggestions on how I should do this? thanks. |
These fitting are rather expensive but what you do really depends on your budget. I just use high quality EFI line everywhere on the engine. It handles heat well and doesn't kink. All An fitting in my mind is a waste of money unless I was building a Show Car. All the other lines under the car I use Galvanised steel 3/8 lines and a good quality bender. I also use 2 pumps with check valves incase one fails. I would consider having AN fittings between the engine and fuel line, it makes engine removal easier.
Cheers Michael Smith |
