Maf

Does anybody know about using a MAF sensor with a Wolf V4+? The PC software manual (version 1.016) says that a MAF can be used, but itīs the only thing that says about it.

What kind of signal does the Wolf accept coming from the MAF?

What type of sensor can be used? (hot-wire, Karmann-Vortex, etc).

Thanks a lot in advance.

..i'm no help here but i do want to ask "why maf"?

you can program the wolf to accept any load input sensor pretty much.

Why you'd want to run a maf when it has a built in map sensor is beyond me.

In my opinion (and in many peopleīs too) a MAF is the best system to determine the amount of air entering the engine. It has the inevitable charge loss, but it can be minimized pretty well in some cases.

Does the Wolf accept a variable frequency signal? or just a variable voltage one?

Regards.

I belive it only takes GM type maf's which are voltage iirc

Thatīs what I imagined.

If anybody has tried using a MAF, please comment here.

Thanks for the info, regards.

If you use a maf, you just need to calibrate the voltage output to the load table like any other sensor.

Nyt, are you aware that not every sensor has a variable voltage signal? There are some with variable frequency output.
