Load calibration with TPS

Hello guys. I have had some time to do some tuning and found something strange.

I am using just the TPS as the load sensor (alpha-n). My TPS calibration table is fine. But my load calibration table is rather weird. Load goes from zero to 107 % between 0 and 2 volts. From 2 volts onwards it remains flat at 107 %.

Is this right? I would thought it shoulb be linear with voltage or, at least, more similar to the TPS calibration table.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards.

go to tps calibration, then where the current tps value is make it 0. then floor the pedal and at your maximum tps value make it 96. then adjust values in between those two points. i'm assuming you have a s4 throttle body, if you get a s5 the tps has a better range.

Hi Pilot, This happens because the TPS wears when it idles causing a spot where the wiper of the TPS to skip over the hole worn at idle. What it does is go open circuit and the ECU sees a opencircuit as high voltage ie 5 Volts. So as you push your foot down it hits the hollow spot and jumps to 107% This happens to mine as well I also recalibrated the tps to the point above the worn point. or readjust the tps outside the worn area and recalibrate.

Cheers

Hello guys, sorry for not appearing sooner, but I didn't get the response email.

I think I didn't explain myself well. I am talking about the LOAD calibration table, not the TPS one. I think I found the solution: the LOAD calibration table might have been set for a MAP sensor (that senses above atmospheric pressure) for a N/A application. That would explain why after 2 volts it stays flat will 5 V.

Regards.
