Building .Net Versions of My Programs

As you may have gathered I have been re-arranging my software. I have built my first version of existing software in .Net It took 2 days to Un -knot it. I will be moving all my programs to .Net except the Logger and Auto tuner over the next few weeks. I would like to thank hwnd for the advice and guidance ( I won't throw away VB6). When I fully understand .Net maybe I will port those 2 as well.

It is all coming together slowly but I think it will be good. I will have the option of VB6 or .Net applications on my website once I have them all converted. After that I will use all .Net OK

Cheers

hwnd you should see the hair on the floor :rlaugh: I have jumped right in and haven't hit bottom yet :icon_tup: I have some probelms with minor issues involving registry keys and the "productID" from(VB6)which I use to make the path in the registry. Now Vb2005 doesn't support "ProductID" does it use "AssemblyProduct" instead?????http://freeweb.supereva.com/esorcicc...s/censored.gif

....yanno, i honestly never ran into that, however (i dont think this is related but...), i never used the license-key-crap from VB6; I wont knock VB6 as its paid my bills a time or two but i surely wont be pushing to keep VB6 in my life :Kill2:

:wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: It looks like I have that bit sorted I have rewitten the code I think I am going to like .Net it is 1/3 of the size yeehhh . I tried porting the Wolf logger V5 I have been working on I will leave it alone I think about 30 errors and 50 warnings = big skip for now. Instead I my start from scratch in .Net It may be easier that way. Anyway off to bed now.

Cheers
