Any special settings for the stock 2nd gen leading coil?

I only ask because i think i burned one up yeasterday, or half of one anyways.

Car went from running, to running like absolute ass in a matter of seconds. Today i replaced the trailing plug and plug wire (only leading rotor was firing) car still ran like ass. Replaced the coil, started it up, ran like ass then cleared up, and idles/rev's fine again

The only actual 'coil' settings that i recall are charge times and i am using the same that i see in everyones wolf maps (nyts, chris's base maps etc)

Nothing?

:edit: i was just thinking about it, and i believe my base map was from a car using stock coils and i think the charge time was set to 3.5ms

I've always wondered about the Coil Charge Time. I used 4.0.

I've seen professionally tuned Haltech maps with a charge time of 4.0, so I followed suit.

I've had it at 4.5 too, but noticed no difference.

i think it has more to do with the internal impedance of the coil. A higher internal impedance of the coil will take a longer charge time for the same spark, ect. Too long of a charge time can burn up your ignitor or coild tho, to little and the spark might get put out under boost.
