3dV4 and O2 sensors
 
hi guys i just newly registered.
RX7 owners seem to be the most popular users of wolf 3d ECUs (thats why im here) im not an RX7 owner myself.

ive had a look through most of the wolf related topics, and seem to have a good knowledge base here.

any way, im using the Zeitronix wideband O2 data logger as i refused to pay a LOT of money for a LSM-11 wich is basically just a narrowband sensor anyway.

the zeitronix has a simulated narrowband output and also a linear 0-5.
is there anyway i can change the cal tables in the V4 ECU to accept my zeitronix output? at the minute tuning is a ball ache as im swapping from screen to screen and cross referencing my RPM values to find the cell i need to tune with the map-trace on (dont you think the new software is GREAT!!!?). it takes forever as sometimes you end up changing the wrong load cell.

i have the narrow band output voltage/AFR table data for available so it should be simple to just enter them and go for it.
do you think theres a way to do this?

oh and that Auto tuner idea is superb, good luck with that

Unfortunately v4 users got the shit end of the stick. You cannot setup the voltage calibration table. It is hard locked.

Also wolf datalogging is kind of awful and broken from the times I've tried it. Does anyone have new software they can send me so I can check it out again?

Anyway, for tuning, I've been using the tecehdge unit with great success.

You could use the logger I wrote for the Wolf with a custom Calibration table. The calibration Table maker is in the Logger directory. http://www.angelfire.com/droid/wolf3dems/

Under tools will take you to the Wolf Logger... If you want a custom Calibration table. PM me and I will make one Just for you...

Just connect the O2 output to the Wolf and Ignore what the handeset says, the logger reads the voltage from the wideband input of the Wolf and then works out AFR from the table. From this info you can get your Load/RPM/AFR/Voltage etc out of the logger output file.

The best way to test the calibration table is to get your engine warm and wait until your AFR is stable on your wide band. Then setup the wideband to output linier from 0 to 5 volts 20 AFR- 10 AFR rather than narrow band simulator output. Connect this to the O2 input and the Wideband earth. Use the custom option on the Logger and it has a 0 to 5 Volt 20 - 10 AFR for the custom cal file. You should now see a close reading between the Wolf Logger AFR numbers and the Wideband meter readout. If that all works you are ready to cook, if not PM me and I will help out..
