Time to get back into an RX7?

Well, at the end of last year I had to sell my baby, a 94 full bolt on 12psi FD. This was my first "true" performance car. I went from a 96 Blazer, to an RX8, to an RX7. Sadly, due to my job I had to sell it. I literally was sad to see it be driven away and I never wanted to sell the car.

I ended up with a 2005 GTO and although it was a lot more comfortable than the RX7 and after doing headers/cam job it was a beast, but it never gave me the smile the FD always gave me. With finally a stable job and just graduating college, I finally have the money to get back into an RX7.

I will be having a older Civic to drive around to work and just around town and I want to use my GTO money to buy a nice weekend car. My three choices are FD3S, Kenne Bell Cobra or a C5 Z06.

I think if I got a FD, I may want a single turbo already. I can't decide though. I loved the feel the FD gave me. I love the torque of the V8 once I got the GTO and I will get that in a Z06 in a lighter body. Although the Cobra isn't as light on it's feet like the Z06/FD, it is a BEAST with power. Who couldn't smile with the scream of the Kenne Bell supercharger.

Haha, I'm just asking your opinions on FD, Z06 and Cobra.

This was my baby

Ideally I'll be looking for a black one and will make it just as nice/fun as my last one

Is there any single turbo setup that will keep the car up/out run a Kenne Bell Cobra or Z06's (C6Z) etc?

My last car was probably putting down around 310rwhp @ 12psi on the stock turbos and a stock C5 Z06 pulled on me by about 1/2 a car or a car.

What I'm looking for is just a fun overall car. The GTO will obviously kill the FD in a straight away with no worries, but it just didn't feel like the car and road were together. It was heavy and just wasn't as fun to drive than my last FD.

What I am looking for is just something that I can drive for a weekend car right now and then later down the line, will be able to have the power potential.

The RX7 has a disadvantage in the power department against the Z06/Cobra. The Cobra takes the less money to make it just a powerful 600rwhp beast. The Z06 will be the most expensive of the three cars, and once the loan is paid off, has the potential of pushing 600rwhp along with a lighter weight than the Cobra.

The RX7 is the lightest of the three cars, but I'm trying to figure where the FD comes to it's max power where you just can't put anymore into it. What single turbo/mods will be able to get me to keep up/pull away from a KB Cobra or modded C6Z06's and so forth?
