Suggestions on rotary shop for rebuild around cali LA area
Hi everyone, im currently browsing around for a rotary shop for my FD. Still indecisive whether if i should take it to Tri point or Mazdatrix. Has anyone had their motor rebuilded by them? how's the work? And any suggestion of any other shops other than those two? thanks for the help.

Mazdatrix does not do service anymore. Rotary Power in Gardena is highly regarded. Rotary Power USA!
Also Rotary Reliability in Santa Ana. John who used to be the mechanic at Mazdatrix now works there. |
You could try the rotary lab in Ontario if that's kind of close to you. . Or garage life in el monte..
I heard good review from them.. |

7's Only Racing is on the track at Buttonwillow. When my FD had issues one day, they took care of me quick. When all was said and done, they got me back on the track, showed me what to pay attention to in the future (it was a wiring issue), and even gave me a pretty good offer to buy my car! ..which I turned down. :D
Anyway, cool bunch of people, super knowledgeable when it comes to rotarys, and they even sponsor a series of racing featuring 3rd gen RX-7s. If you're in the north part of LA, it might be worth the drive :icon_tup: 7's Only: Home |
Garage Life in El Monte as well (Very cool peoples)
and if you are in the IE look for renown. They are garage, but can put some miracles together! |
Thanks for everyones help. im going wait for more suggestions then stop by and check out the shops. since this is gonna be the first rebuild of my FD gonna need to replace couple of things.

no one mentioned lucky 7 yet? they're awesome...in duarte. i drive from San Diego for fris and gang - top notch folks with great service.
|
+1 for lucky seven just got my car back from them and man is it nice. The customer service is top notch and they take the time to talk you about your car. Ask for fris or louie

Lucky 7!

The Rotary Lab in Ontario is awesome. Really cool guys over there. They have helped me out with a few parts.
My only other input is that Mazdatrix charges a premium for their services. |

Tri-Point Engineering or Lucky 7, just depends where you are, 818 or 626.
|
I'd say Tri-Point especially now that it's owned by the two mechanics that work there. Stop by and say hi and you'll see these guy love any RX7 or miata
|
Thanks for everyone's local shop suggestions...I took my FD to Garage Life
